  • Q1.Can I apply even if I haven't officially released any K-pop songs?
    A.
    Yes, absolutely! You can apply even if you haven't officially released any K-pop songs.

    During the application process, you will be asked to provide your KOMCA membership number or IPI number. (ASCAP, STIM, BMI etc.)
    If you have previously released songs, please enter the relevant details.
  • Q2.Is the audition conducted entirely online?
    A.
    The first round will be conducted online, and the second round will take place in person.

    Applicants who pass the first round will receive individual instructions regarding the second round.
    Please refer to the official announcement for the detailed schedule.
  • Q3.Are there any restrictions based on nationality or race?
    A.
    Not at all.
    Anyone is welcome to apply, regardless of age, educational background, gender, nationality, or race.
  • Q4.Are you accepting applications from lyricists as well?
    A.
    Unfortunately, we are not accepting applications from lyricists at this time.
    However, we may open applications for lyricists in future auditions, and we appreciate your continued interest.
  • Q5.Where can I find the application link?
    A.
    You can apply through the official JYP Publishing website. (www.jyppub.com/ko/audition)

  • Q6.How will I be informed if I am qualified?
    A.
    Only the successful candidates will be informed each individually after the review is completed.
    In certain cases, you may be requested to offer additional demonstrations for a further review.
  • Q7.I am disqualified. May I apply again?
    A.
    Yes, any disqualified person may apply again any time. Please apply again.
    However, please avoid submitting the demonstrations or duplicate submissions which you have made previously.
  • Q8.May I apply as a team?
    A.
    Yes, you may. When applying, please accurately enter the part you are responsible for for each team in the application form.
  • Q9.Can I sing the demo vocals myself?
    A.
    Yes, If yourself record the demo vocal. you'll get extra points. Please consider hiring demo vocalist for opposite gender songs.
  • Q10.May I forward you the demonstration by email from time to time?
    A.
    No, during the auditioning process, only the demonstrations received via the auditioning website are monitored.
    Please be advised that the demonstration forwarded separately by email are not subject to the review.
  • Q11.What are the benefits of becoming an affiliated writer?
    A.
    When you sign an exclusive writer contract, you would receive the following opportunities and welfare benefits.
